Meti founded the excellent legal consulting firm in Slovenia in 2008. The firm, KETNER® Ltd., enables her to live her dreams and beyond every single day and enables independence for her and her son. Strategic and progressive legal representation and consultation in the field of Intellectual property Law is the hallmark of KETNER® Ltd. It is Meti’s brainchild which requires that every day of her life is dynamic, brilliant ideas are born each new day and shape her breath-taking moments. KETNER® Ltd. focuses on the delivery of quality legal advisory services focused on industrial property protection (patents, trademarks, industrial designs, etc.). Meti is passionate about what she does and tackles her everyday tasks ambitiously. With over 21 years of rich professional work experience as a legal practitioner, she believes she is the perfect reflection of the influence of female leadership in the intellectual property field legal sector.
Exploring Creativity and her other Passion
Meti loved to sing as a toddler and as a teenager, she joined a singing group for a short period. She also learned to play the guitar and basic chords. “This was really his goldena a gift since a guitar is still standing in my room to take it on good and bad days, which is all we have, and play it also when I am really exhausted to fuel my battery. Sometimes also lyrics come to life and some are still waiting to be written,” she says fondly. She also wrote short thoughts ‘Zlata vrtnica Ljubezni (Golden rose of love)’, which was designed by one of the famous Slovene designers Mr. Oskar Kogoj.
Meti’s love for music is realized by one of her KETNER®’s Ltd. projects under the trademark ZEBRA EXPERT® in the frame of which they listen to a person’s dreams and compose the sound just for them. Along with professional musicians, they are able to compose exclusive sounds to unconditionally distinguish one’s products and services from others on the market. “Knowledge, faith, creativity, integrity, and trust are KETNER®’s Ltd. foundation stones. Through ZEBRA EXPERT®, we enable people/companies to hear their trademarks. We develop and achieve a high level of recognizability and perfection,” says Meti.
Breaking the Gender Stereotypes
In Meti’s opinion, there is nothing like compulsory, neither for a woman nor for a man in the sphere of a household. If a woman is successful in business and household work does not make her happy, why would she do something she does not like? Instead, her business success allows her to hire a housekeeper, and the time she has at her disposal is used for spending quality time with her family, and friends, and doing things she likes.
She says, “I do not have a housekeeper. But it does not mean that this cannot change in the future. I love to be a woman, I love to be a mother, and I appreciate traditional values. Housework is reserved for everyone in our family regardless of gender., that means me and my son for the moment. Housework is a kind of exercise and relaxation. I want my son to be equipped with all the necessary knowledge for life (including washing dishes, laundry, cooking, and cutting grass…), which allows him to decide more freely about how he will live and what he will do when he grows up, although he already knows very well what he will become, the best footballer in the world. Of course, I trust him!”
Facing the Pandemic
COVID-19Pandemic has changed the worldwide situation and quickened digital transformation. Meti wasn’t very impressed by the lockdown rules but strictly followed them. The pandemic was the fact, and it made us stronger, she feels. She says, “What you cannot change you should accept and not cry about it. The problems are to be solved. And we are here to solve the problems, not to make new ones. We, in the KETNER® Ltd. office, kept the positive feelings, trust in each other, incredible power, connection with co-workers, and connection with the clients.”
The work culture at KETNER® Ltd. has not changed significantly, but communication with the clients has changed during the lockdown, which was mostly remote. Everything is slowly returning to the old tracks. Contacts with clients are personal again and she hopes it stays that way.
Meti’s Encouraging Words for Young Women:
Stand tall. Desire more. Be kind, disciplined, committed, and focused. Work hard.
Give thanks for all the good things, not for bad things, it would be much better without bad things.
Be able to forgive. How people live, act, and react shows what they carry within.
You should listen to your body, take rest when needed and never collapse.
You are unique, without competition! Be confident!
Life is exciting. The colors of life are beautiful, don’t let yourself and don’t let defeat convince you otherwise. Never give up!
Showing emotions is a matter of strength, not the other way around.
Stay playful and passionate about what you do. Be the best version of yourself.
Do not let others make your choices. Our lives have endless possibilities. You should be able to take decisions, sometimes decisions need to be taken very fast.
Maintain relationships with good people. Respect and demand respect for yourself.
Every paper should be written on the wings of love, whatever paper this is.
Change should be your only constant. The past is gone. Living in the moment is creating your brilliant future. There is no time from here to eternity. Time is a human creation.

Spreading her Wings
The Intellectual Property Protection sector is constantly evolving and transforming. The words such as Great, Greater, and The Greatest would perfectly describe the importance of the field of intellectual property nowadays. Meti had had various leadership roles in her career which shape her into what she is today. She has also worked for institutions of public importance and in the frame of international projects of great importance for Slovenia and also for the larger Slovenian professional legal offices where she was mentored by the best and continues to deliver the best.
