Nubia has officially launched the Nubia NaviX Ultra, a smartphone designed around agentic artificial intelligence and powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The device uses the Doubao Mobile Assistant, an AI system designed to handle complex tasks, interact with apps and maintain conversations while working through multiple steps.
The AI supports deep reasoning, allowing it to break complicated requests into smaller tasks. Its self-correction capability enables it to recover when unexpected issues occur, while extended-context adherence helps it stay focused during longer operations. The system can also generalize knowledge from one application to solve unfamiliar tasks elsewhere.
AI Key Enables Multiple Functions
The Nubia NaviX Ultra features a dedicated AI key integrated with the fingerprint sensor. A single tap opens the AI prompt window, while a long press activates voice commands. Double-tapping the button starts an AI video call, allowing users to show objects or situations through the phone’s cameras.
Doubao supports text, images, audio and video. A beta continuous-dialogue mode enables more natural back-and-forth conversations for complicated requests. Users can also monitor lengthy AI tasks through a dedicated widget and manage the order of multiple tasks by manually prioritizing them.
The assistant can work with third-party applications and access online service APIs. Supported functions include interacting with Lark, CaoCao Mobility, map applications and online music services. It can also answer incoming calls using predefined scripts, transcribe voice notes, search screenshots and identify products displayed on the screen.
Flagship Hardware and Large Battery
The Nubia NaviX Ultra features a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display with a 1-144Hz refresh rate and 1,260 x 2,800-pixel resolution. The panel reaches up to 4,500 nits of brightness and supports DC dimming.
The phone measures 7.6mm thick and weighs 208g, while housing a 7,100mAh battery. It supports 90W wired charging, 50W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
Memory options include 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB, using LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The phone runs Android 16 with Nubia’s Nebula AIOS 2 interface.
Triple Rear Camera Setup
For photography, the phone has a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor, f/1.6 aperture and optical image stabilization. It is paired with a 64MP 3x periscope telephoto camera and a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 115-degree field of view and autofocus. A 32MP sensor handles selfies.
The Nubia NaviX Ultra is available through ZTE’s online store in China. The 12GB/512GB version is priced at CNY 6,000, while the 16GB/512GB model costs CNY 6,500. The top-end 16GB/1TB variant is priced at CNY 7,500.
