Microsoft is bringing OpenAI’s newest flagship AI model, GPT-5.6, to Microsoft 365 Copilot, making it the preferred model across key productivity applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot Chat, and Cowork. The update marks another milestone in the long-standing partnership between the two companies, aimed at embedding more advanced AI capabilities into workplace tools used by millions of professionals worldwide.
