Nvidia is reportedly in discussions to help secure approximately $250 billion in financing for OpenAI as part of a landmark data center development in the United States, highlighting the growing race among leading technology companies to expand artificial intelligence infrastructure.
According to reports, the proposed financial guarantees would enable OpenAI to lease capacity at a 10-gigawatt data center campus currently being developed in southern Ohio by an energy subsidiary of Japan’s SoftBank. If finalized, the project would rank among the world’s largest AI-focused infrastructure developments, reflecting the enormous computing demands required to train and deploy next-generation AI models.
