InvoiceCloud Strengthens Growth Strategy with Appointment of Matthew Lane as Chief Revenue Officer

InvoiceCloud, a leading provider of digital billing and payment solutions, has appointed Matthew Lane as its new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), reinforcing the company’s commitment to accelerating enterprise growth and strengthening its market presence. The newly created role reflects InvoiceCloud’s strategic focus on aligning its go-to-market operations while expanding the adoption of its AI-enabled billing and payment solutions.

Lane will oversee the company’s revenue-generating functions under a unified strategy, bringing together sales, partnerships, and customer success to create a more integrated commercial organization. His appointment comes as businesses increasingly seek intelligent, digital-first billing experiences that improve customer engagement and operational efficiency.

Bringing Extensive SaaS Leadership Experience

Lane joins InvoiceCloud with more than 16 years of leadership experience in the B2B SaaS sector, having successfully led commercial organizations serving small businesses, mid-market clients, and large enterprises. Most recently, he served as Chief Revenue Officer at data quality specialist Ataccama. His career also includes senior leadership positions at Peak, a UiPath company, and Mimecast, where he spent more than a decade helping drive significant business growth.

Commenting on the appointment, Kevin O’Brien, Chief Executive Officer of InvoiceCloud, emphasized Lane’s proven ability to unite commercial teams and execute growth strategies at scale.

The company believes his leadership will further strengthen collaboration across its sales, partnerships, and customer success teams while supporting the next phase of business expansion.

Accelerating AI-Powered Commercial Growth

As CRO, Lane will focus on expanding InvoiceCloud’s enterprise customer base, strengthening strategic partnerships, and enhancing the company’s revenue operations. He will also work closely with product, marketing, finance, and customer success teams to ensure greater alignment across the organization.

A significant aspect of his role will involve driving the market adoption of InvoiceCloud’s AI-enabled billing and payment innovations. By leveraging artificial intelligence throughout the billing lifecycle, the company aims to deliver faster, simpler, and more intuitive payment experiences while encouraging higher levels of digital adoption and customer engagement.

Lane expressed enthusiasm about joining the organization, highlighting InvoiceCloud’s strong customer-centric culture, market expertise, and track record of innovation. He noted that as AI becomes increasingly integrated into billing and payment processes, bringing commercial teams closer together will be essential for delivering greater value to both customers and partners.

Building on Strong Business Momentum

The leadership appointment follows a period of sustained growth for InvoiceCloud. The company recently introduced its AI-powered Billing Experience, expanded investments in AI-led product development and global engineering capabilities, and earned more than 20 industry and workplace recognitions during 2025.

By establishing the Chief Revenue Officer position, InvoiceCloud is positioning itself to better serve larger enterprise customers, deepen relationships within its partner ecosystem, and support long-term growth across highly regulated and service-intensive industries. The move underscores the company’s broader strategy of combining operational excellence with AI-driven innovation to strengthen its competitive position in the evolving digital billing and payments landscape.
