SK hynix Reports Record Q3 2026 Revenue Of KRW 104.6 Trillion | CIO Times Magazine

SK hynix has reported record financial results for the third quarter of 2026, with revenue surpassing KRW 100 trillion for the first time in the company’s history. Strong demand for artificial intelligence (AI) memory and growing sales of high-value products helped drive the semiconductor maker’s performance.

Announced on October 28, 2026, the company’s latest results highlight continued growth across its memory business, alongside a stronger financial position and plans to return strategic investment gains to shareholders.

Revenue And Operating Profit Reach New Highs

SK hynix recorded revenue of KRW 104.6155 trillion and operating profit of KRW 83.3338 trillion in Q3 2026, translating into an operating margin of 80%. Net profit stood at KRW 39.7756 trillion, with a net margin of 38%.

Compared with the previous quarter, revenue increased by 32%, while operating profit rose by 38%. The company attributed its performance to rising prices for key products amid growing AI memory demand and the competitiveness of its high-value-added offerings.

DRAM And NAND Products Drive Growth

DRAM performance benefited from a substantial increase in server DDR5 sales, while shipments of high-bandwidth memory (HBM4) began in earnest during the quarter.

In the NAND segment, sales of 321-layer triple-level cell (TLC) enterprise solid-state drives (eSSDs) expanded. SK hynix also reported continued growth across high-value-added products designed for data centres, reflecting increasing demand for infrastructure supporting AI workloads.

Solidigm IPO Review Discontinued

During the earnings presentation, CEO Kwak Noh-Jung explained the company’s decision to discontinue its review of a potential initial public offering (IPO) for Solidigm, its NAND flash memory business.

The proposed IPO was intended to raise external capital for expanding Solidigm’s production facilities, reducing SK hynix’s investment burden and creating greater capacity for shareholder returns. However, after assessing financial market conditions and other factors, the company concluded that proceeding would not achieve the intended outcome at this time.

Shareholders To Benefit From Kioxia Investment Gains

Kwak reiterated SK hynix’s commitment to sharing most gains from successful strategic investments with shareholders. In line with this policy, the company plans to distribute gains realised from its Kioxia investment through a special dividend this year.

Meanwhile, cash and cash equivalents reached KRW 114.5 trillion at quarter-end, while borrowings fell to KRW 15.8 trillion. Net cash consequently increased to KRW 98.7 trillion, strengthening the company’s financial flexibility.
